Airsteam Sessions return to Ouseburn Festival 2014
To join in the conversation about future development in the Lower Ouseburn Valley, come along to the public consultation at the Ouseburn Festival on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July. We will be there in an antique Airstream Caravan parked on Malmo Quay, opposite Toffee Factory and next to Mariners Wharf, Quayside, NE1 2BJ.
About the festival
A feast of vibrant arts, food and family fun is promised at this year’s Ouseburn Festival, which takes place in Newcastle’s creative and cultural quarter during the weekend of July 5 and 6.
The NarcFest, bringing together local bands and comedy at venues throughout the Ouseburn Valley, will be the highlight on Saturday. Visitors will also be able to enjoy sport, walks and find out about the regeneration work currently happening in this historic area of the city.
Sunday is the family day, which features a local food festival, arts and crafts and plenty of fun, including a rubber duck race and a children’s costumed parade to close the event.
There will be a chance for visitors to igloo’s Airstream to find out more about The Malings and the upcoming developments at Lower Steenbergs Yard and at Malmo Quay itself, the gateway to Ouseburn. Igloo is also sponsoring the Airstream Sessions, this year on Malmo Quay. The sessions are: Saturday 2pm: Jack Fallows (Sleepwalk, Skull Puppies): 3pm Suntrapp, 4pm Meghann Clancy. Sunday 11.30am Effie, 12.30pm Alex Dobson and 1.30pm Samuel Thomas
